Mr.Bricolage — Magento e-commerce and ERP integrations for a franchise network
Mr.Bricolage, Wallonia’s leading independent retailer, chose WiMakeIT for a Magento site connected to its franchisees’ ERPs and APIs.
Mr.Bricolage is the leader in independent retail in Wallonia. It is the only Belgian chain with so many “independent” franchised stores, each with its own management approach and in-house tools.
This decentralised franchise model creates a constraint that is rare in e-commerce: the central site has to communicate with a heterogeneous ecosystem of point-of-sale systems, local ERPs and supplier APIs.
The challenge
Running a national e-commerce site that reflects, in real time, the stock, prices and availability of dozens of independent stores — each with its own technical set-up. That level of integration complexity rules out most off-the-shelf solutions.
The WiMakeIT solution
- Multiple ERP integrations — Each franchisee keeps its own management tool; the site synchronises with it.
- API expertise — An integration architecture designed for heterogeneity.
- Certified Magento 2 expertise — A recognised partner for complex franchise projects.
- Scalability — New franchisees connected without a redesign.
What this project demonstrates
- A franchise network cannot go digital with a monolithic CMS — it needs a modular integration architecture.
- The strength of a network’s e-commerce lies in its ability to reflect, in real time, what is actually happening in each store.
- Magento 2 + well-designed APIs = a robust foundation for multi-ERP environments.
- Franchisee independence is a constraint, but also an asset: it forces a clean architecture from the outset.
- In this kind of project, integration skills matter as much as e-commerce skills.
